The Town Board approved the bid submitted by Advance Construction, Inc. in the amount of $221,779 to construct a detention pond on the western end of Omro Road along STH-21. The money was already in the 2020 budget and will be allocated from the general fund. The detention pond will encompass approximately one acre. The approved Certify Survey Map (CSM) is provided below. The detention pond is necessary to treat stormwater in that part of the Town as outlined in the Town’s 2018 Stormwater Management Plan. Much of the stormwater flowing into the detention pond will be captured by the infrastructure to be installed when Omro Road is reconstructed. Treated water will be directed to Honey Creek.
All of the required permits have been approved. Construction began in June with expected completion in August 2020. Final plantings and landscaping will be finished in the spring of 2021.
