Pay by Mail or Drop Off
When mailing or dropping off your payment, please follow the guidelines below:
- Make checks payable to TOWN OF ALGOMA
- Include the payment stub(s) from your tax bill(s)
- To receive a mailed receipt, include a self-addressed envelope with postage
Payments may be dropped off at the Town Hall office during regular office hours, or placed in the white drop box at the building’s entrance at any time.
In-Person Receipting
Immediate receipt is available only during posted dates. Please note that in-person receipts will not be offered in December 2025. Payments may still be mailed or dropped off.

- January 8 — 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- January 12 — 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Payment Deadlines
Your first installment or full payment is due to the Town of Algoma by January 31, 2026.
December 31 is not an official deadline. If you need your property tax payment recorded in December for personal reasons, you must meet the receipt deadlines below. No exceptions will be made.
December-Dated Receipts (Paid in 2025)
- Mailed and dropped-off payments must arrive at Town Hall by 4:00 PM on December 31, 2025
- Online payments must be submitted by 11:59 PM on December 31, 2025
January-Dated Receipts (Paid on Time)
- Mailed and dropped-off payments must arrive at Town Hall by 4:00 PM on January 31, 2026
- Online payments must be submitted by 11:59 PM on January 31, 2026
Beginning February 1, 2026, all payments must be made to Winnebago County.
