2023 Yard Waste Collection Calendar
The Town of Algoma has hired the Grounds Guys to collect residential yard waste. The 2023 Collection Calendar and Collection Information is now available as “Calendar (PDF)“ and print copies at the Town Hall. Residents with issues or concerns regarding the collection of Yard Waste are to call the Town Hall at 920-235-3789.
Missed Trash and Recycling Collection
If you have any issues or concerns, please call Harter’s Fox Valley Disposal’s call center at 888-804-8556 or 715-446-5400.
Garbage and Recycling Containers:
What you should have:
- 1 recycling container (blue)
- 1 garbage container (tan)
Containers must be placed 4 feet apart and 4 feet away from other objects such as a mailbox.

Please have all garbage and recycling curbside by 5:00 a.m. Garbage is picked up Thursdays and Fridays. Recycling is picked up according to the schedule. Christmas trees will be collected on Thursday, January 19, 2023. Please bag your garbage but do not bag your recyclables.

- Cardboard & Paperboard (i.e.- cereal box)
- Newspaper & Inserts
- Junk Mail & Office Paper
- Phone Books, Books, Magazines & Catalogs
Does Not Accept
- Tissue
- Tissue Paper
- Paper Contaminated by Food or Grease
- Shredded Paper
Additional Guidelines
- Flatten and cut cardboard to no longer than 2′ x 2′
- It is not necessary to remove covers and binding from hardcover books
Plastic
Acceptable
- Soda, Water, and other Drink Bottles
- Food & Household Bottles, Jars and Jugs
- Dairy Containers and Lids
- Produce, Bakery and Deli Containers
Does Not Accept
- Plastic Bags, Wrap or Film
- Motor Oil Bottles
- Styrofoam
- Cat litter pails
Additional Guidelines
- Rinse and empty bottles and jugs.
- Replace all screw caps and recycle.
Aluminum & Steel
Acceptable
- Aluminum Cans and Bottles
- Steel, Tin and Bi-Metal Cans
Does Not Accept
- Aluminum Pans or Foil
- Empty Paint Cans
- Empty Aerosol Cans
Additional Guidelines
- Rinse cans and bottles.
- No Need to remove labels.
Glass
Acceptable
- Food and Beverage Bottles and Jars
Does Not Accept
- Windows, Ceramics or China

- Rinse bottles and jars.
- Metal caps and lids should be recycled.
