Introducing our New Town Administrator: Maggie Mahoney
May 21, 2024
As you may already know, Rich Heath, our former Town Administrator, left the Town of Algoma in April for an opportunity for himself and his family in Oconto County. While we miss him already, we were incredibly fortunate to have had several great candidates apply for his job. Now, we are thrilled to formally introduce our new Town Administrator, Maggie Mahoney!
Maggie officially started her role as Town Administrator on Monday, May 20, 2024. We’ve enjoyed getting to know her throughout the interview process and these first few days on the job. We’re also excited to let her introduce herself to the rest of our community:
Greetings!
I am excited to have started with the Town in the role of Administrator. My prior position was with the Village of Kimberly in the same role. I moved to the area in January 2021 from Lawrence, Kansas where I worked for the City as a Management Analyst for 2 years. Prior to that I worked at the Senator Robert J. Dole Institute of Politics at the University of Kansas (KU) for 13 years.
I grew up in Montana and have lived in various places around the country and abroad. I earned my B.S. in Sociology from Iowa State University (Go Cyclones!) and Masters of Public Administration from KU. My husband, Josh, and son, Sidd, and I have enjoyed exploring and getting to know the communities of the Fox Cities. We enjoy sports, live music, travel and restaurants.
I am grateful to the Town Board and Staff for bringing me on to join the team. I look forward to serving the residents of the Town of Algoma. Feel free to stop by Town Hall, attend town meetings or give me a call!
