Garbage and Recycling Container Ordinance

As stated in Town Ordinance 328-Wastement Management, garbage and recycling containers are not to be placed at the roadside for collection no earlier than 4:00 p.m. of the day preceding a regularly scheduled pickup or a previously announced pickup date. Containers must be set out by 6:00 a.m. on the collection date. Containers must be returned to their storage area within 12 hours of pickup. Solid waste containers shall be stored to the rear of a residential unit or otherwise in such location that it is not visible from the street. Please be mindful of these rules in order to keep Algoma looking welcoming and attractive.
